For Our Emini and Micros Futures Trading Room
In today's market update, MicrosTrader’s AM Briefing emphasized trading discipline, strategic chart levels, and critical market reactions. The session highlighted a vital biblical message from Ephesians, while encouraging traders to slow down and refine their approach. Despite missing a prime short opportunity, the analysis underscored the importance of staying patient and focused on high-probability setups. Upcoming economic reports and live trading streams remain key touchpoints for active traders. RESOURCES:

Welcome, ES Emini and MES Micro Futures Traders
Welcome to the AM Briefing video presented by MicrosTrader.com—where together we trade better!
Good morning and happy Wednesday, April 2nd!
Scripture of the Week
“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
This is truly a free gift of salvation and eternal life. For anyone who believes in Christ, they shall not perish but have eternal life. It is a gift by grace through faith.
Tip of the Day: Slow Down Your Trading
As you mature as a trader, one of the most valuable yet reluctant lessons is this: limit your trading. It's often more beneficial to reduce the number of hours spent on the charts and the number of trades taken. I touched on this in my last episode, “The Perils of the Unseasoned Trader,” which focused on slowing down your trading. If I don’t link it here, just scroll through our video list.
Market Events & Livestreams
Today is Tariff Wednesday with a Non-Farm Employment Change report scheduled—at a rather odd time, in my opinion. It’s still a green trading day in a level 10 week. Tomorrow could get wild with Non-Farm Payroll coming up. I plan to livestream this afternoon during the tariff events. Subscribe and hit the notification bell to join me!
Yesterday's Trade Recap
We only had one core strategy trade yesterday. If you spotted another one, feel free to post it in our trading floor group. I didn’t take it myself as it was counter to our existing long position.
We gapped down on Sunday, pushed through the range, flushed Friday’s low, and then rebounded with a 111-point overnight move. Key zone: 16 to 03—a critical halfback level for bulls. We reversed from this level, providing a nice long setup and held above it throughout the day.
Charting and Strategy: Key Levels and Volume Profiles
We’re analyzing a high timeframe range from 2350 to 7225, now covering 22 days. A volume profile analysis gives us insight into the 22-day POC, and value area high/low.
This data is essential. You must know:
- The range you’re in
- The edges of that range
- Where price is likely to bounce
These levels and settings are covered in the Flight School section of our Core Strategy Academy. Don’t stop mid-way through your training—push through and complete it.
Intraday Price Action & Setups
We saw a flush to the week’s opening gap and took out London liquidity around yesterday’s halfback. A long opportunity was mapped on Zoom, though it didn’t quite meet my entry requirements. The afternoon setup was cleaner, and we were live when we mapped and executed those trades.
Overnight Battle Plan
Posted in our group last night:
- Expected a move up to set up for shorts.
- Key long opportunities identified—some nearly triggered.
- A missed 10-point short setup could’ve paid handsomely.
It’s all part of trading—another high-probability trade is always around the corner.
ADP Employment Report and Market Reaction
ADP’s Non-Farm Employment report came out as expected with minimal market reaction. We observed some key liquidity grabs but ultimately nothing substantial unfolded.
Final Trade & Wrap-Up
I took a small long position at 24 with a micro stop at commissions. The market flushed and stopped me out, but that’s okay—discipline wins the day.
That wraps up the AM Briefing. I’ll see our traders live at the top of the hour for Mental Training.
