Trade Journal For Futures Traders
Trade Journal For Futures Traders
Introducing the MicrosTrader Trade Journal: Version 1.0 Alright members, I want to show you what I’ve been working on behind the scenes. I’ve alluded to it a few times, but now I’m ready to show you what I’m calling Version 1.0. Just like our indicators, it may start here, but it will continue to improve over time. My goal is to offer a turnkey, ready-to-go journaling experience. We firmly believe that journaling is the path to improvement. If you don’t measure, contemplate, or review the "game film," success becomes much harder to achieve. Many traders skip this step—and I believe that’s a serious mistake. Eventually, they’ll look back and wonder, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?” Now, I’m offering a solution that's included with your membership. Accessing Your Personal Journal The journal is available at https://academy.microstrader.com/journal, and everything is tied to your personal login. Your entries are private—no one else can view them unless they’re logged into your account. Here’s a quick tour: The homepage includes your core strategy academy link and journal dashboard. You’ll see metrics such as: How many days you’ve journaled (Monday through Friday only). Your green day streak. Total journal entries. Your biggest lessons. Setting Up Your Journal Start by heading to Settings where you can customize how your journal looks. There are two main setup options: Light Journal (Minimalist) Trade Date Daily Goals Notes Big Lessons Results Full Journal (Comprehensive) Trade metrics Life goals (e.g., weight loss, hydration, gratitude) Energy and mindset tracking Bible reading Daily wins You can add or remove fields and even suggest new ones. There’s also a Sticky Note feature to remind yourself of trade plans, goals, or mindset prompts. Whatever you enter here will appear on every journal entry. Journal Entries and Customization Journal entries are auto-titled with the date, though you can rename them for better searchability. You’ll log trade dates, daily goals, gratitude lists, notes (by session), and upload images or charts if needed. You can format text (headings, paragraphs), insert images, and save entries. Tracking includes: Trader errors Big lessons Discipline grading (A, B, C, or D game) Results (AM/PM) Points earned Top runners Account balance tracking Charts and statistics will be added in the future as data accumulates. Trade Ticket: Granular Trade-by-Trade Tracking If you want per-trade analysis, the Trade Ticket is your go-to. It’s ideal for tracking metrics like: Day/session of trade Direction (long/short) Trend alignment Entry levels Points earned or lost Leverage analysis Number of contracts Entry plans vs. execution Win/loss results Best possible outcome ("perfect chess") The trade ticket supports deep analytics. If you want to measure your performance by weekday or session, this tool is essential. Dashboard Overview and Final Notes As more data is entered, your dashboard will show trends like streaks and key takeaways. It becomes a powerful pre-market review tool. Be sure to hit "Publish" to save entries. There's also a “Zen Mode” to eliminate distractions and help you focus. I’m genuinely excited to release this to the community. I built this for myself—something I would use every day—and now it’s available for you. I’d love your feedback or suggestions to improve it.
