ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #339
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
100+ Point Runner
On Monday's Live Stream we called a beautiful long at 7421 - as a second long opportunity after the beautiful bounce off the Bull Bear Strong Level line.
We also called a first ladder long... For the aggressive.
🔥 ES followed through beautifully.
Behold the power of holding a lotto-runner!
At the time of this writing, this entry is up over 130 points.
Da Bulls!
Once again our goal is to look for the right trade in the right trade location.
Always holding a lotto runner just in case price moves in your direction.
We never know which trade is going to go a hundred plus points - thus hold a runner under every scenario when possible!
I don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows.
All we can do is wait for price to reach a trade location we're interested in… then we engage like professional traders, using perfect risk management and holding a lotto runner.
Rinse.
Repeat.
Every day.
Knife-Catch ES Short Outlined
If you were live with us on Zoom or the YouTube live stream, you know we mapped out this "knife-catch" short... for the aggressive.
We talked about stop placement and risk management.
And once price moved in our direction, we talked about stop placement and walking!
Let price do what it's going to do.
You could have captured 20 points, or 10 points, or 5 points. You do you.
From the 7541 "knife catch" price, ES moved 25 points into the profit.
This short was obviously a counter trend, and if you counter trend trade, following price at 50% is often a great move. Therefore, one would have captured 10 to 15 points.
Also, as highlighted in the video above, if you are scalping, taking profit at the next Strong Level is also a great move.
Not a bad trade.
That said... if you were long from yesterday's long, you should have stayed long, ignoring the short. Especially if you have made the decision you're playing perfect chess no matter what.
Lotto Runners | Hold Dat Runner!
Inside Sunday's Battle Plan I said the following: "We’re entering into a season where holding a long runner can really, really pay. Price can whipsaw really quickly and then run, run, run, run, way more than you think it should."
Battle Plan 1️⃣ | ES Short Setup
Now let's discuss Battle Plan 1️⃣.
Did price reach the intended drop zone? Yes.
Did price provide a reversal pattern? Yes.
If you were live on Zoom or YouTube, you were provided an opportunity to be short "earlier" than the mapping.
Did ES present the "ideal entry" per the Battle Plan Mapping for Battle Plan 1️⃣ ?
Nope!
It got close, but there was no entry per the Battle Plan mapping and notes.
Sometimes we map out a Battle Plan trade and you get to participate in some of the move, but it doesn't follow all the way through.
It happens.
So Battle Plan 1️⃣ activated, but no entry occurred.
Shorting when the Bulls control is a tough, tough game.
There are easier trades to take.
We will be sure to discuss in the AM Briefing tomorrow as well.
Tip of the Day
Hold that runner.
Holding a lotto runner is often the best trade you can take.
And whenever price shows the power of a runner, I must highlight it.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a lotto runner?
A: A lotto runner is the last contract you hold after you have already taken profit and moved your stop to safe. It costs you nothing once the trade is risk-free... so you let it run. We never know which trade goes a hundred plus points. I don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. So you hold a runner under every scenario when possible. This is the play that turned a long into a 130 point move. Hold dat runner.
What is the Bull Bear Strong Level?
A: The Bull Bear Strong Level is the big line that tells you who controls the chart. Price above it, the Bulls own the move and your play is long or flat. Price below it, you get cautious and you want to see a reclaim before trusting longs. We bounced off this line and laddered higher, which is why the read was simply long or flat. When you are under that line, be careful discounting Battle Plan trades that sit far away.
What is a Strong Level?
A: A Strong Level is a price where the market has reacted hard before, so it tends to react again. Think of it as a shelf where price likes to bounce, stall, or get sticky. You use Strong Levels to plan entries and exits ahead of time. If you are scalping a counter trend short, taking profit at the next Strong Level is a great move. And a clean bounce off one, like the 7513 Strong Level, can hand you nearly 30 points.
What is the Core Strategy?
A: Core Strategy is our intra-day scalping at Bounce Levels... the spots where institutions step in and defend price. You enter with a limit order, manage with the Three Contract System, and keep a risk-free runner working for the bigger move. These scalps can grow into multi-day swing trades in cash and retirement accounts. This week Core Strategy banked 60 plus points off a couple front side longs, one for 15 plus points.
Why is shorting when the Bulls control so tough?
A: Shorting into a market the Bulls own is fighting the tide. Price can whipsaw against you fast, then run, run, run higher way more than you think it should. A counter trend short like the 7541 knife-catch can work for 10 to 20 points if you manage your stop tight and walk once you are green. But there are easier trades to take. If you are already long and playing perfect chess, you stay long and ignore the short.
MICROS TRADER BASICS
Our System: Three Ways We Make Money
The Micros Trader system is built around one discipline: we trade the same chart, draw the same levels, and take the same trades for the same reasons. Together We Trade Better is not just a phrase — it is the structure the entire system runs on.
Core Strategy is intra-day scalping at Bounce Levels... specific zones on the chart where institutions step in and defend price. That defense is what produces the bounce. Members enter with a limit order, manage with the Three Contract System, and keep a risk-free runner working for the larger move. For cash and retirement accounts, these intra-day scalps can develop into multi-day swing trades.
Live Zoom Trading runs Monday through Friday, going live about 20 minutes before the open through 11:00 AM CT. Members hear real-time reasoning on every setup... who controls, what the read is, and when to stand down. Trading live with the group builds the patience and discipline that solo trading cannot replicate. You stop guessing and start seeing.
The Daily Battle Plan maps three to seven pre-planned trade ideas directly onto your TradingView chart each evening via the Battle Plan Indicator. Combined with the Strong Levels Indicator, it identifies the highest-probability trade locations before the market opens. By the time RTH begins, every decision is already made.
