ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #345
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Battle Plan 2️⃣ ES Long Setup
Entry was very difficult… thank you, Mr. July price action. Summer trading at its finest.
If you were burning the midnight oil, you could have taken this trade two or three times to bank 10 to 20 points.
Price action is not being overly friendly to traders who love to hold runners.
ES is being manic and compulsive with multiple taps on every level! That makes staying in a trade very difficult. More on this in the Tip of the Day below.
🔥 Price ran 60 points from the proposed entry.
As stated, entry was nearly impossible.
That doesn't negate the fact that we were looking for the right trade in the right location.
And as reiterated on Zoom and YouTube Live... BULLS control. Shorts are counter.
Battle Plan 1️⃣ ES Continuation Long Setup
Battle Plan 1️⃣ was a continuation long, a wonderful place to add to your winning trade.
If you were long and added according to Battle Plan 1️⃣, you did very well.
As I often instruct... when it comes to strong ranges, you can enter off the top, the middle, or the bottom. That's what I mean when I say use the Strong Range to help with entry.
In this case, you were handed both opportunities.
🔥 20--pointer. You can never complain about a 20-pointer.
Strong Range
Look how price engaged with the Strong Range on the way up.
When it came up to the Strong Range, it bounced once. ES then moved to the top of the Strong Range, bounced back to the bottom and bounced off the bottom... then ES cleared the Strong Range to the north, back-tested the top and bounced yet again... then ES continued its journey northbound.
That's about as pretty as it gets.
Battle Plan Entry + Strong Level Add-On
Beautiful example today of using Strong Levels to help with entry and add-on trade locations.
The first LONG label is the Battle Plan entry and the second LONG label could be a potential add-on trade location.
🔥 At Micros Trader we always seek to add to our winning trades when possible.
Trade Location Matters.
The Battle Plan was only looking for longs above the Bull Bear Strong Level line.
The daily ES trade plan... AKA "The Battle Plan"... strives to put you on the right side of price action every single day. Mission accomplished today.
Tip of the Day
Question:
Can you offer any assistance with setting better stops? I feel like my stops are a literal magnet. I know you preach "perfect chess" but it doesn't seem like I'm even in the trade long enough to play. I've been trying to not put a stop in also and that's ok but it seems like there are still big moves that get me bag holding.
Answer:
Thank you for the question, Reed.
I addressed this exact issue in the AM Briefing this morning when I talked about the Tip of the Day.
Let's type it out…
The nature of the beast right now is that ES is tapping every single level multiple, multiple, multiple times.
It is nearly impossible to stay in a runner in this price action.
Like Hannibal Lecter said… what is its nature and what does it do?
Well, we know ES is a liquidity-seeking machine, and right now its favorite hobby is tapping every single level over and over.
As the Tip of the Day in the AM Briefing said… this price action is see money, take money.
Trying to hold a lotto runner is nearly impossible right now.
It is the nature of the beast.
This price action is like no other we've experienced in 2026 so far.
Yes, it is frustrating.
Touch-and-go price action is a rare bird right now. It just is. We adapt.
And yes, it will change when fall arrives, for sure.
Stay patient.
Keep journaling.

Scoreboard
Points Accumulated This Week:
Battle Plan: 200
🔥 Battle Plan 2️⃣ for 10-points overnight. Price ran 50+ points today, but entry during the RTH session was nearly impossible.
🔥 Battle Plan 1️⃣ for 20-points and more. An excellent opportunity to be long… and if you used the Strong Level as illustrated above, you could have added to your winning trade. When adding to winners I like to be up more than 20 points… you do you.
Zoom: 140
🔥 NADA… Stand Down price action during the live session in the AM.
Core Strategy: 60+ (Full Members)
After the morning live session… ES settled into normal price action. On the march up, Core Strategy offered a couple beautiful entries long! FS and BS entries long. So there's your homework… your End Of The Day Chart.
🔥 30+ points if you were aggressive and entered on FS and added on the BS.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is the Bull Bear Strong Level?
A: The Bull Bear Strong Level is the line that tells you which side of price action you belong on. Today the Battle Plan only wanted longs above that line. Above it... you hunt longs. Below it... the bias flips. It keeps you on the right side of the market instead of fighting the trend. Trade location matters, and this level is where location starts.
What is a Strong Range and how do I use it for entry?
A: A Strong Range is a zone where price tends to react, and you can use it to help time your entry. When it comes into a Strong Range, you can enter off the top, the middle, or the bottom. Today ES bounced at the range, rode to the top, dropped to the bottom and bounced again, then cleared it and back-tested. That gives you multiple shots at a clean entry instead of chasing.
What is a Strong Level add-on?
A: A Strong Level add-on is a second entry that lets you pile onto a trade that is already winning. The first Battle Plan label is your entry. The next Strong Level becomes a spot to add. At Micros Trader we always seek to add to our winning trades when possible. When I add to winners I like to be up more than 20 points first... you do you.
What does Stand Down mean?
A: Stand Down means there is no trade worth taking, so you sit on your hands. During the AM live session today there was nothing... Stand Down price action. That is not a failure. Doing nothing is a position. Protecting your capital when the setup is not there is the trade. Stay patient and wait for the right location.
What is the Core Strategy and what are FS and BS entries?
A: Core Strategy is the Full Members setup that fires once ES settles into normal price action. On the march up today it offered a couple beautiful long entries. FS and BS are those entry signals. If you were aggressive you entered on the FS and added on the BS for 30 plus points. That is your End Of The Day Chart homework.
