ES & MES Futures Trade Plan #356

Where To Go Long... Where To Go Short.
ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #356
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Pressure Cooker Unleashed
For days we have said, "Pressure Cooker... Let's be honest… ES hasn't gone anywhere. Nowhere at all. But the pressure cooker is still building pressure. Every quiet session screws the lid on a little tighter."
Last week... the lid finally blew... to the south!
We got our move. And bears control.
The Bulls have a lot to do!
Bulls have to prove it now. Bears get the benefit of the doubt.
Expect all moves to the north to be short-lived until proven otherwise.
Expected Range
132-points with FOMC + MSFT + APPLE on deck this week.
The expected range seems about right.
As always, I hope we explore both sides of that 132 point range.
Of note... This week's range high was basically the last two weeks' Bull Bear line.

Tip of the Day
Reminder 1: Bears control. When bears control, you never ever let a LONG go against you.
Reminder 2: Never make things worse. Take the loss like a professional trader… be a professional loser!
Do those two things and you live to trade the next hand.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What does it mean when the Battle Plan says bears control?
A: It means sellers have the upper hand and they get the benefit of the doubt. The pressure cooker finally blew last week... to the south. So every rally to the north is treated as short-lived until bulls prove otherwise. Practically, that changes how you trade. You be perfect with longs, you take them only at mapped locations, and you never ever let a long go against you. Shorts are the easier side while this holds.
What is a Strong Level in the Battle Plan?
A: A Strong Level is a single price where the market has shown it reacts... a spot worth watching for a bounce, a rejection, or a pause. A Strong Range is the same idea across a small band of prices, like 7,465.75 to 7,459.50, instead of one number. These are locations, not signals. You wait there, you watch the price action, and you take your own confirmation before you execute. Members not on TradingView hand draw these on their own charting platform.
What is the Expected Range and how do I use it?
A: The Expected Range is the move the options market is pricing in for the week, taken from the SPX at the money straddle and applied to ES front month futures. This week it is 132 points... roughly 1.78 percent, putting the low near 7,315.22 and the high near 7,579.78. Use it as a boundary map. It tells you how much room the market thinks it has, so you know when a level is realistic to reach and when it is way down yonder. Ideally we explore both sides of that range.
What is the Core Strategy?
A: Core Strategy is the Micros Trader trade method available to Full Members, run alongside the Battle Plan levels. It produced 100 plus points last week with a lot of trades on the board. The Battle Plan tells you where to go long and where to go short. Core Strategy is the execution system you carry into those locations day after day. New traders can get the full picture through the Foundations Course and the Battle Plan Boot Camp.
What is a lotto runner and why hold one at Battle Plan 4?
A: A lotto runner is the last contract you keep on after taking profit on the rest... the piece you let run for the big move. Battle Plan 4 is flagged as the Preferred Trade because it looks like the last stand for bulls, and that is exactly where a runner can pay. Hold it with all your might. Just remember the other half of the job. Never make things worse. If it goes against you, take the loss like a professional trader and live to trade the next hand.
