ES & MES Futures Trade Plan #357
Battle Plan
Where To Go Long... Where To Go Short.
ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #357
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Sunday Opening
The high of the opening candle was 66 points above Friday's close.
Price leapfrogged over all of our Battle Plan trades.
We covered half of the Expected Range on the Sunday opening candle. My goodness.
Nothing to do but Stand Down.
I like easy trades… no easy trades here.
For Full Members, there were a few Core Strategy entries Sunday night. 20-point long and a 10-point short. These were pointed out on Discord. That said… NO ONE has to trade Sunday night… ever! Not required.
From the Trading Desk of George
When price does something unusual… like the large gap on Sunday… I leave a note inside of the Battle Plan… like the one below. It is time-stamped for your reference. I drop this as a courtesy to Battle Plan members.
Monster Hard Move Down in RTH
In Sunday's Battle Plan, I wrote, "Bears Control. Expect all rallies to the north to be short-lived."
Boy, was that true!
All the way down, I kept warning…
"Stand Down"
"Wait for 2nd ladders"
"First ladders are the most dangerous."
Timely words.
Today tested your ability to take a break-even trade or a small loss.
If you took zero trades today because you were waiting on a second ladder, congratulations.
Or… if you took no trades because the price action looked dangerous, congratulations.
Nice Bull Bear Line!
Wonderful Lessons for Futures Traders

๐ฅ Battle Plan 2️⃣ Long for 10 to 15 to 19 points.
Certainly not the prettiest of entries, but this was the one that moved.
Traders with multiple contracts were encouraged to peel their primary contracts as we ran into the Strong Range and keep a lotto runner just in case.
Sometimes all you get is a piece of the move.
Tip of the Day
TradingView Tip: Turn MESSY indicators into CLEAN ones.
If you didn't know this already, you're gonna love me!
Right click on your chart... select Settings... go to the "Status line".. and turn OFF "Inputs".
Voila... Clean & Tidy!

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What does Stand Down mean in a Battle Plan?
A: Stand Down means you take no trade at all. Zero contracts. It is a real decision, and it is the right one when price does something unusual... like Sunday's opening candle that leapfrogged every mapped level and covered half of the Expected Range before the session even settled. If the price action looks dangerous, sitting on your hands is the trade. FLAT as a TRADE.
Why does George warn about first ladders?
A: A ladder is a stair-step move where price builds a series of candles in one direction. The first ladder is the most dangerous because it usually arrives while the move is still violent and unproven. Waiting for a second ladder means you let the market show its hand first, then enter with the trend behind you. On a monster hard move down, if you took zero trades because you were waiting on that second ladder, congratulations.
What is the Core Strategy?
A: Core Strategy is the Full Members setup that runs outside the mapped Battle Plan levels. There were a few Core Strategy entries Sunday night... a 20-point long and a 10-point short, both called out on Discord. Understand this clearly. No one has to trade Sunday night. Ever. It is never required.
What is a lotto runner and when do you keep one?
A: A lotto runner is one small leftover contract you hold after peeling off your primary contracts at target. You bank the sure points first, then let that last piece ride just in case the move keeps going. Traders with multiple contracts were encouraged to peel into the Strong Range and hold a runner on the Battle Plan 2 long that went 10 to 15 to 19 points. Sometimes all you get is a piece of the move.
What does the Strong Range tell me about my entry?
A: The Strong Range is a mapped zone where price has a real history of reacting. Use it to time entries and to time exits. When price is moving south like a freight train, stay out of the way and let that Strong Range help you find the spot instead of guessing. Longs below Battle Plan 2 need extra care... Battle Plan 4 looks like the last stand for bulls.
MICROS TRADER BASICS
Trade Small. One Trade a Day.
Two of the 18 Rules for Futures Traders work together: Trade Small and One Trade a Day. Trade Small means smaller position sizing prevents account blow-ups and keeps traders in the game long enough to improve.
One Trade a Day means restricting yourself to single entries... forcing discipline and selectivity, and earning the right to trade more as consistency improves.
