We made it to the multi-day value area low where it's often better to look for a long than a short.
Although the Longs won, there was no clear entry.
I was bound and determined to wait for Battle Plan 2️⃣.
Didn't happen!
Battle Plan 1️⃣ Long
I took this with 3 contracts. Held a lotto runner in the negative position.
Follow-through for the Bulls is still weak at best.
Tip of the Day
Summer trading is still in full swing!
Price action WILL improve... And it will be glorious when it does.

What is the Battle Plan in ES and MES futures trading?
A: The Battle Plan is a numbered price map. Each number marks a location where price is likely to react... a spot to go long or a spot to go short. You get the level, the context, and the notes before the session opens. Then you wait. The Battle Plan tells you where to look. Your own confirmation tells you when to pull the trigger.
What is a lotto runner and why hold one?
A: A lotto runner is the last contract you keep on after taking profit on the rest. It costs you nothing extra. You already banked your money. That runner is your free shot at the big move. Sometimes it dies. Sometimes it pays for the whole week. Hold it with all your might.
What is Core Strategy and why did it score zero today?
A: Core Strategy is the rules based approach for Full Members that only fires when levels develop properly. Today was extreme slop with no real level development... so it gave you nothing. That is the point. A zero is a win when the market is squirrelly. Core Strategy kept you safe.
Should I trade the Battle Plan on FOMC day?
A: FOMC is a wild card. The Interest Rate Decision hits at 2:00 PM and the Press Conference follows at 2:30 PM. Price can rip both directions in seconds and blow straight through good levels. Add end of the month plus Apple, META, and MSFT earnings and you have a stacked deck. Respect it. FLAT as a TRADE.
What does it mean when there are no fresh levels?
A: Fresh levels come from new price development. We have not gone anywhere for days... we closed right near where we closed on Friday. No new ground means no new levels. Trading old, chopped up levels is how you bleed. When the map is empty, the best trade is the one you skip.
