ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #359
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
RTH MES Live Trading Room
In the morning Zoom and YouTube live session, we wanted price to drop down into Battle Plan 1️⃣.
Why? Because we opened in the middle of the range … at the multi-day POC … at the RTH halfback that had been tested many times.
I said if we wanted to trade an edge, we are nowhere near the edge. We need to get down to Battle Plan 1️⃣.
We finally made it down to Battle Plan 1️⃣.
The Apex of the Trade offered the first potential entry.
All laddering attempts above the Strong Range failed.
I announced it in the group and mentioned it in the Battle Plan 1️⃣ notes… if Battle Plan 1️⃣ fails, we will probably drop down into Battle Plan 2️⃣… careful with longs until we hit Battle Plan 2️⃣.
Then later in the session, ES dropped down to Battle Plan 2️⃣, with an amazing bounce right off the top of the Strong Range. I was not trading, but I know traders who took that entry at the Strong Level… and it paid incredibly well if you held a lotto runner!
An incredible 100-pointer!
Just for fun, look at how price laddered from there… exactly as mapped on the Battle Plan trades.
Very cool.
100-Pointer
๐ฅ 100-pointer long for the brave on FOMC from Battle Plan 2️⃣!
Behold the power of a single lotto runner!
Why should you hold a single lotto runner? … Because we never know how far price will go.
Sure, you could have taken a 10-pointer or a 20-pointer or a 30-pointer … and then held a lotto runner. If you did, you were given the gift of a 100 plus point move.
How many of those a week do you need?
Tip of the Day
Very simple.
FOMC... Did you follow your trade plan?

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Strong Level in ES futures?
A: A Strong Level marks a price where the market has reacted hard before… a spot where buyers or sellers showed up with size. Today ES dropped into Battle Plan 2️⃣ and bounced right off the top of the Strong Range. Traders who took that entry at the Strong Level got paid incredibly well. Strong Levels give you an edge because you know in advance where price may react. Wait for your own confirmation before you push the button.
What is a lotto runner and why should I hold one?
A: A lotto runner is one small piece of your position that you refuse to close after taking profit on the rest. Why hold it? … Because we never know how far price will go. Today you could have banked a 10-pointer or a 20-pointer or a 30-pointer and still held a runner. That runner handed you a 100 plus point move. How many of those a week do you need?
Should I trade FOMC day?
A: No one should, or needs to, trade FOMC ever. The Core Strategy scored zero points today and that was the win… zero risk, zero damage, capital intact. Core Strategy kept you safe. And remember, the day after FOMC often turns even more dangerous than FOMC itself. Choosing FLAT as a TRADE is a real decision.
What does Core Strategy mean at Micros Trader?
A: Core Strategy is the rules-based plan Full Members follow for consistent, patient entries. It tells you when to press and when to Stand Down. On FOMC day it said no trade… so the scoreboard read zero. That is the plan working exactly as designed. Green Over Greed.
Why should I never short a short covering rally?
A: A short covering rally happens when trapped sellers rush to buy back their positions. That buying feeds on itself and price rips higher fast. Bears may control the tape, and a vicious short covering rally still sits nearby. We had a hundred point squeeze today. Never short a short covering rally… let it exhaust itself first.
