COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Strong Level in ES futures trading?
A: A Strong Level is a price zone on the ES chart that has proven itself over and over… a spot where price reacted hard before and will likely react hard again. In this Battle Plan, the Strong Level pulls double duty. It serves as the launching pad for a long at the bottom of the range and the trigger for a Battle Plan short. Watch it closely. Wait for your own confirmation before you act.
What is the Core Strategy?
A: The Core Strategy is the disciplined, rules-based approach at the heart of Micros Trader. It targets high probability setups at mapped levels and skips everything else. On CPI day the Core Strategy took zero trades… no trading into a major news event. Sometimes the best trade is no trade at all. Green Over Greed.
What is the Bull Bear Line?
A: The Bull Bear Line marks the level that separates bullish control from bearish control on the ES chart. Above it, bulls hold the edge. Below it, bears take over. In this Battle Plan, a deep pullback all the way down to the Bull Bear Line stands as the favored destination for the wide sweeping long setup.
What is a lotto runner?
A: A lotto runner is a small piece of a winning trade you leave on after banking most of your profit. The trade already paid you… so the risk on the runner stays tiny. That little piece stays alive for the big move. In this Battle Plan, a lotto runner short could be added to at lower levels if the market keeps dropping.
What does it mean to ladder back long at the bottom of the range?
A: Laddering back long means scaling into a long position in pieces as price returns into the range… a starter entry first, then adds at better prices. Range Rules Rule. When ES holds the bottom of its range, buying back in steps builds the position while keeping risk controlled. One caution from this Battle Plan… if price vomits down like a rocket, be very careful with any long.
