Last night, the apex of Battle Plan 3️⃣ paid very well.

2nd Look: After a new overnight low... You were presented with a second opportunity for this trade. The MES trade idea took less than two points of heat and reached the 25-point target.
Congrats to the traders who took advantage of this trade. Close DOM. Call it good.

When you see price bounce off both sides like this, you know you have a solid level you can trade. Great places to consider taking profit, adding to a trade if price finally breaks, and a place to consider entering a trade - especially if it aligns with other ES bounce levels we are watching.
ES Was a Ghost Ship Today
On the open sea. No power. No anchor.
Sails up, wheel spinning free, nobody at the helm.
Bears tried to pull alongside, cannons run out… yet... never fired a shot.
Mate, that's how a market looks when both crews abandon her.
She drifts.
She goes wherever the current fancies. And the current lies.
Do not chase a drifting ship.
You wait for the engines to roar back to life.

My NES Nano Short | Practice Trade
During the aimless price action, I moved my stop just above three protection layers.
1. Overnight Trendline
2. Our Strong Range.
3. The range we discussed in the AM Briefing.
All three combined make a wonderful protection layer for my stop.

September Tune Up
As we roll into September, it's a perfect time to think about your Pre-Trading Prep.
Routines slip during the summer. That's just how it goes… vacations, late nights, kids out of school. The prep gets a little shorter every week and nobody notices, because summer price action lets you get away with it.
Traders tend to start slacking toward the end of the summer... life is busy and price action is dead.
Fall doesn't let you get away with it.
Volume comes back. Ranges expand. And the market deals the cards much faster in the fall.
Now is a GREAT TIME to give your nightly and morning routine a checkup!
Suggestion: Write your routine down… Especially if you never have… stop winging it. You know who you are!

Read the Battle Plan?
Listened to the AM Briefing?
Marked your overnight levels?
Drew out the single prints?
Know where POC is from yesterday?
Are we in a range… is the range on your chart?
When was the last time you drew levels on the daily chart?
Have you stopped journaling? (Did you even start - now it's time. Here is your sign.)
When was the last time you downloaded a CSV from your broker and analyzed it in the Trade Analytics panel inside the Trade Buddy dashboard?

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Strong Level in ES futures?
A: A Strong Level is a mapped price zone where ES has repeatedly reacted... support and resistance that has already proven itself. These are updated every Sunday through the TradingView Indicator, so you walk in with the levels already drawn. When you watch price bounce off both sides of one, you know it is solid enough to trade. Use it to take profit, to add if price finally breaks, or as an entry location... especially when it lines up with other ES bounce levels you are already watching.
What is the Bull Bear Strong Level?
A: The Bull Bear Strong Level is the line that separates bullish control from bearish control on the ES chart. Above it, bulls have the ball. Below it, bears do. Any reclaim of that level should be of interest to longs, because a reclaim says the buyers took the ground back. Range Rules Rule... inside a range, that level is your reference point for who is actually driving.
What does Stand Down mean and why did it apply today?
A: Stand Down means you take no trade. Not a weak trade, not a small trade... none. ES was aimless in the RTH session and offered no entries, so none were taken. The market was drifting like a ghost ship with nobody at the helm, and a drifting market lies to you about direction. You wait for the engines to roar back to life. Another high-probability trade always waits beyond the horizon.
What was the preferred trade in this Battle Plan?
A: Battle Plan 5 is the Preferred Trade, and it is a long. That location is the TOP of an old range that has been traded many times. If price gets a deeper push down and then reclaims the ideal entry at 7627, that is the long. Battle Plan 4 is welcome too, but 4 and 5 sit so close they are almost the same trade. Careful knife catching down in that Strong Range... they have defended it over and over, and the question is whether they can do it again.
How do I stack protection layers around my stop?
A: You place the stop behind more than one piece of evidence, so price has to break several things before it takes you out. On the Nano short, the stop went just above three layers... the overnight trendline, the Strong Range, and the range discussed in the AM Briefing. Any one of those alone is thin. All three stacked together make a wonderful protection layer. That is how you give a trade room without giving away your risk.
