How Much Can Day Traders Make? Realistic Futures Numbers
The money question, answered with numbers off the tape… no fantasy figures.
How much can day traders make? The realistic answer is smaller and more repeatable than the internet wants you to believe: five to ten ES points a day, taken consistently and compounded as the account grows. On ES, more than five points is a great day. More than ten means you crushed it. Chase a fortune every session and you blow up… bank your points and grow.
“If you can make more than five points a day on ES, you did great. More than 10 points a day, you crushed it.”
— GEORGE · MARCH 19, 2026 · LIVE SESSION
What the points actually pay
One point on an MES micro contract pays $5, so a 50-point move on a single micro pays $250. The same point on a full ES contract pays $50. There is no day trading salary… you earn what your points pay at the size you trade, and the income grows by compounding: add a contract as the account earns it, and the dollars behind each point rise while the daily target stays the same.
The full lesson carries the complete pay ledger for MES and ES, why George judges profit against drawdown instead of raw dollars, the compounding ladder he uses to scale size, and his own words from over 1,062 live sessions… every claim linked to the recorded session it came from.
