Trading Is Mostly Waiting

Start with the honest math of the day. The click is a sliver of it. The rest is waiting. A patient futures day trader spends most of the session doing nothing at all… no trade, no forcing, no searching. That stillness feels wrong at first. It is the job.

George liked that line so much it became his mantra. A member named Chad said it first, and George kept it… "If I ever got a tattoo, it would probably be this, which is now my mantra" (Jan 21, 2026). Read it again. Waiting comes first. Resisting the urge to trade comes second. Both are the work.
