Trade Your System, Not Your Opinion: Play Perfect Chess
Play perfect chess. Follow the rules you wrote before the market started talking… and own every trade as yours alone.
From the free MicrosTrader Trading Library… 140 lessons mined from 1,042 live ES and MES futures sessions taught since 2018.
Trade your system, not your opinion. It means one thing: you follow the rules you wrote down before the session, even when the market screams the opposite at you. Your system is the plan. Your opinion is the noise. In ES E-mini futures, the trader who obeys the plan survives. The one who trades his gut washes out.
This page gathers what George teaches about discipline across hundreds of hours in the live futures trading room… how to play perfect chess, why you stay on system through slow seasons, how to serve one master instead of five, and the plain truth that every trade you take belongs to you alone.
“"Will I trade my system and not my opinion? If you answered yes to those, you're cleared for takeoff."”

From George’s published record: MES Micros Trade Plan #318 | 5 Great Setups — a 70+-point move, mapped in advance.
Play Perfect Chess
Play Perfect Chess is George's name for executing your rules flawlessly, one move at a time, no matter what you think the market will do next. A chess master does not abandon sound play because the position feels scary. Neither do you. You make the correct move for the position in front of you, then the next correct move, then the next.
What breaks perfect chess? The vanity grab. You bank a round number for the scoreboard instead of running the play your system called for. George names the failure on himself… "taking a 50-point vanity P&L instead of playing perfect chess" (Apr 16, 2026). The points felt good. The move was wrong.
“"Play perfect chess no matter what you think. No matter what you think, play perfect chess. I might have to handwrite that 100 times this weekend."”
