ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #395
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
OPEX Friday Trading
Although it was OPEX Friday, price was very accommodating, offering two beautiful entries short.
We traded it very well on the short side.
Watch the recap video above.
Price finally arrived at our outlined target.

Tip of the Day
Hold A Single Runner:
Peel your contracts and lock your green… but keep one runner working.
Every 100-point move you will ever capture comes from that single contract. Give it a safe stop, give it room, and let it ride.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Strong Level in the ES futures Battle Plan?
A: A Strong Level is a price on the ES chart where buyers or sellers have already shown up and defended. Think of it as a spot where price reacted before... so it is likely to react again. Battle Plan #395 lists Strong Levels like 7,796.00, 7,708.75 and 7,657.75, plus Strong Ranges like 7,716.75 to 7,712.00. You do not blindly buy or sell there. You wait for price to arrive, watch how it behaves, and then take the trade with confirmation.
What does it mean to hold a single runner?
A: Holding a runner means you take profit on most of your contracts as the trade works... but you keep one contract on. That single contract is what catches the big move. Every 100 point win you will ever book comes from that one runner. Give it a safe stop, give it room, and let it ride. Peel your contracts, lock your green, and let the last one work.
What is a Range Rules short?
A: Range Rules is a simple idea. Price is inside a defined range with a top and a bottom. When price is at the top of that range, the play is to lean short and target the other side, one Strong Level at a time. In this Battle Plan it is marked as an aggressive idea because the bulls defended the old range Friday afternoon. The question is whether they defend it again... or give it up. If you are already holding a lotto runner, just play perfect chess and manage your stop.
What is the ES Expected Range and how do I use it?
A: The ES Expected Range is the move the options market is pricing in for the week. It comes from the SPX at the money straddle applied to ES front month futures. For the week ending September 25, 2026, the range is 7,623.16 on the low side to 7,795.34 on the high side, with ES at 7,709.25. That is an implied move of about 86 points, or 1.12 percent. It is a boundary, not a promise. Use it to know where the extremes likely sit... and be careful chasing longs at the top or shorts at the bottom.
What is the Core Strategy at Micros Trader?
A: The Core Strategy is the structured trade method taught to Full Members. It uses specific setups on the 3 minute chart, like the FS/BL long that produced 25 plus points this week as highlighted in Discord. The Battle Plan gives you the map of where price may react. The Core Strategy gives you the rules for how to enter, where to put the stop, and how to manage the trade once you are in. Levels tell you where. The Core Strategy tells you how.
