ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #401
TODAY'S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Battle Plan 1️⃣ | ES Long Setup
π₯ 10+ Pointer Battle Plan 1️⃣ Long
ES dipped its toe into the drop zone (two key ES levels) and then reclaimed the Bull Bear Strong Level where the outlined entry lived.
The entry was fairly straightforward, as the chart below illustrates.
Personally, I took this trade during the London session with multiple contracts. I exited my lotto contract for 10 points during our Live Trading Room.
ES Live Trading Room
Be sure to watch the recap video above for the play-by-play action.
Today would have been a perfect day for a beginning futures trader to be in the room. Today felt like a webinar in price action, especially in regard to range rules.
Early in the Zoom, we were offered Battle Plan 1️⃣ as a second opportunity. I often call it the "second look".
The first look performed beautifully... running nearly 20-points.
Would it perform well the second time?
It's certainly a riskier entry than the first time.
Second looks usually aren't as good as the first time the trade opportunity is presented.
Price popped... offering a perfectly outlined entry for Battle Plan 1️⃣.
ES ran 10 points and fizzled.
Ten points is nothing to sneeze at.
You can make your entire week 10 points at a time. Smalls add up.
SIDE NOTE: One thing the morning price action confirmed was... the Bull Bear line IS a key level on the ES chart. It performed very well.
They defended the Bull Bear line over and over until they lost it and ES vomited down.
What happens when price loses the range? It targets the opposite end.
And that's exactly what ES did today.
It's why we extended our Zoom trading session.
Best ES Long Setup Today & Hold the ES Lotto Runner
Once we got the nice move down to the bottom of the high time frame range, we were looking for longs. Range rules told me so.
That's why I stated… "Man your battle stations!"
That means, "Get ready, traders."
Typically, that means the trade location is telling me it's time to be on alert. It's time to take the trade and hold the Lotto Runner.
We typically get one or two trades a week that go 100 plus points. Would this be one of them?
We called out a long between 30 and 29 that performed absolutely perfectly.
Traders were encouraged… multiple times… to hold their Lotto Runner today.
If you did, you got paid handsomely.
A week's worth of ES points in one trade.
π₯ 50+ Point Zoom Room Long!
I took the opportunity to peel one of my contracts off, leaving my single Lotto Runner.
Fantastic follow-through and a beautiful green day for my traders.
Congrats, longs! Here's to holding a Lotto Runner.
Even trading a single MES contract, you made more money on this one trade than a school teacher earns in a full day of work. Talk about perspective.
ES Key Levels | Our Strong Levels
Look how beautifully ES ping-ponged around our Strong Levels.
Strong Levels are simply the most important ES levels for the week, as I see it.
Then ES bumped its head into the 7746 Strong Level four times.
The reclaim of this ES level was key.
Once it cleared… it catapulted.
For those holding a Lotto Runner, that was a beautiful sight.
The right trade and the right trade location. That is our goal every single trading session.
Look how ES ping-ponged with the Bull Bear Strong Level.
Dangerous Price Action
Early in the live trading room, I warned that this felt like very dangerous price action… don't prediction trade, close down your platform, and wait for something new.
Here are a couple of snippets from the transcript.
15-Point Candle Protocol
Our 15-point candle protocol exists for your safety.
A 15-point candle on a three-minute chart typically means "irrational price action". Our system shines in rational price action.
So we built rules around large irrational candles.
The rule is simple.
Big red candle? Stand Down.
WAIT... Let price bounce off two levels before you engage price… again.
Today showed you why.
27-point candles out of nowhere. Ignore the rule and you could have been hurt badly. Trade without a stop and it could have been disastrous.
Build hours of screen time on the ES chart and you will learn which price action you love and which price action tells you to close down. Walk away. And don't come back for even a peek.
Tip of the Day
Set An Alert And Live Your Life:
You don't get paid by the hour for staring at the chart.
Set the alert at your reaction zone and walk away. Price will call you when it's time to work.
Set Your Stop And Live Your Life:
Down to your "paid-for" lotto runner?
Set your stop and walk.
Live your life.
Let ES do what ES is going to do.
You did your job. The trade no longer needs your micro management.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Bull Bear Strong Level?
A: The Bull Bear Strong Level is the line in the sand on the ES chart. Above it, bulls control. Below it, bears control. It is a key level... one that price will defend over and over until it finally gives way. In this Battle Plan, ES dipped below it, reclaimed it, and that reclaim was the entry for a 10+ point long. When ES lost it later in the session, price vomited down to the other end of the range. Watch how price behaves at this level. It tells you who is in charge.
What is a Strong Level?
A: Strong Levels are simply the most important ES levels for the week, as I see them. They are the spots on the chart where price tends to react... bounce, stall, or reclaim. ES bumped its head into the 7746 Strong Level four times before it finally cleared. Once it did, it catapulted. That is the power of a Strong Level. Use the reclaim of a Strong Level to help time your entry. The right trade at the right trade location is the goal every single session.
What is a Lotto Runner and why should I hold it?
A: A Lotto Runner is the last contract you keep on after you have peeled off your other contracts for profit. Your risk is already paid for... so you let it ride for the big move. We typically get one or two trades a week that run 100 plus points. The Lotto Runner is how you catch them. Today, a long called between 30 and 29 ran 50+ points for traders who held. A week's worth of ES points in one trade. Set your stop and live your life. The trade no longer needs your micro management.
What does Stand Down mean and when does the 15-point candle protocol apply?
A: Stand Down means stop trading. Close the platform. Wait for something new. The 15-point candle protocol is a safety rule built around it. A 15-point candle on a three-minute chart usually means irrational price action... and our system shines in rational price action. So the rule is simple. Big red candle? Stand Down. Let price bounce off two levels before you engage again. Today produced 27-point candles out of nowhere. Ignore the rule and you could have been hurt badly. Respect it and you were fine.
What is the Core Strategy and why was it zero today?
A: The Core Strategy is the structured trade approach reserved for Full Members. It is built for rational, orderly price action... clean tests and reclaims of key levels. Today's session brought large irrational price action with huge candles out of nowhere. That is exactly the kind of tape the Core Strategy stays out of. So the call was Stand Down. Zero points on the Core Strategy is a win when the alternative is trading into chaos. Green Over Greed. Protect the account first.
