How to Organize Your TradingView Chart: Clean Charts, Folders & the Object Tree
Clarity of chart comes from clarity of organization… folders, labels, and a clean object tree.
From the free MicrosTrader Trading Library… 140 lessons mined from 1,042 live ES and MES futures sessions taught since 2018.
Organizing your TradingView chart means one thing: grouping every level, range, and drawing into labeled folders in the object tree so you can toggle them on and off at will. George's rule is simple. Fold your levels, name them well, color-code by timeframe, and delete what you no longer need. A clean chart for ES E-mini futures is a chart you can actually read under pressure.
This page gathers everything George teaches about chart hygiene across hundreds of hours of live ES and MES micro futures trading… why a clean chart matters, how to build your folders, how to color-code and label your levels, and how to back-adjust everything the day the contract rolls over. Start with your Sunday chart prep routine and this system keeps it in order all week.
“"The object tree is much like the file folder system on your computer."”

From George’s published record: MES Micros Trade Plan #318 | 5 Great Setups — a 70+-point move, mapped in advance.
Keep a Clean Chart
Start here. A clean chart is a chart with only what you need on it right now. George turns off the levels he isn't using, kills the extra indicators, and strips the chart down to price. Why? Because a wall of lines drowns out the signal you actually trade.
He says it flat out… "I don't like superfluous lines on my chart" (Jan 28, 2025). When a Strong Level no longer matters to the session, he switches it off and moves on.
“"I'm just trying to clean up my chart. I don't need to see a thousand lines here. All I really need are the candles now."”
