Stealing Bounce Power: Why Repeated Tests Break Support and Resistance
Every support and resistance level holds a finite number of bounces… beat it up enough and the ground gives way.
From the free MicrosTrader Trading Library… 140 lessons mined from 1,042 live ES and MES futures sessions taught since 2018.
Bounce Power is the finite energy stored in a support or resistance level. Every time price tests a level and reacts, it spends a little of that stored power. Beat the level up enough times and it eventually breaks. That's why a fresh, untested level bounces hard and a level that has been hammered all day and all night finally gives out.
This page collects everything George teaches about Bounce Power across hundreds of hours of live ES E-mini futures and MES micro futures trading… why the first reaction off a level is the strongest, how repeated tests soften the ground, why volume marks the traders defending price, and the honest limit of it all. No level is a guaranteed reversal, which is exactly why you hold a runner.
“"One of the concepts we talked about is stealing bounce power. Did this steal some bounce power from this drop zone?"”
— George, live session, May 19, 2026

From George’s published record: ES & MES Futures Trade Plan #335 — a 20-point move, mapped in advance.
Every Level Carries a Finite Charge
Start with the core idea. George looks at every level and every move as a battery. It holds a set amount of reaction, and once that charge drains, the level goes quiet. This is the frame behind every read on this page.
How much power does one reaction spend? Sometimes the whole session. George measured it on the tape… "how much bounce power did that take? It took the whole freaking RTH, 50 point move from here" (March 18, 2026). One clean bounce ate an entire RTH session and a 50-point run. That level is spent. Trading it again the same way asks it to do work it no longer has the energy for.
“"I look at every trade as having a certain amount of bounce power… once it touch and goes, this level is now tested and I usually won't trade it again."”
