MES MICROS TRADE PLAN

Add To Winners… Only When You Are Winning

Posted: Thursday October 22, 2026

☀️ AM BRIEFING

Yesterday I banked 10 points and passed the aggressive long. Why? I didn't want to give any of them back. That same trade got you in to the tick with zero heat… follow the Three Contract System and you had a beautiful 50 pointer in your hands. Then the Battle Plan 1 continuation long was the add for anyone holding a lotto runner. That is how to manage a runner in futures… we add to winning trades, only when we are winning. This morning, after a 100 point overnight pullback, Battle Plan 1 asks one question: can the Bull Bear Line hold again?

Giving Thanks Always

Giving thanks always, for all things. The good things and the challenging things. I truly believe in giving thanks.

Being grateful, I am telling you, is a state of mind that can change your life. Thank you for the ability to think and plan and create. Thank you for the strength and the courage and the creativity I get to bring to what I do.

Together We Trade Better.

Ten Points… And Protect Them

How did we do on a Wednesday? We have been literally crushing it this week. I did a review video where I take the Zoom, cut it up and point out the critical parts.

I mapped out 67 to 65, took the 65 as it came in, snagged my 10 pointer and was a happy boy. Turned out to be a good move. It went much further.

You can make 10 points a day, you're doing good.

What did we do next? We were looking for longs, baby. The aggressive long, with a small stop. I chose not to take it.

  • Up 10 points: I didn't want to give any of them back, to be honest. So I passed.
  • Up 15 points: I would have taken the trade, because I could have preserved my 10.

Trader Lesson 1

Already up 10 points? You can pass the next entry so you don't give any of it back. Up 15, I take that trade… because I can still preserve my 10.

The Runner And The Add

That aggressive long was the trade that made it, if you got in and followed our system. It literally got you in to the tick. You took zero heat. You didn't need to run to the door to take your profit.

Follow the Three Contract System. Stay in with the runner. You had a beautiful 50 pointer in your hands.

Trader Lesson 2

When the entry gets you in to the tick with zero heat, you don't need to run to the door. Follow the Three Contract System and stay in with the runner.

Battle Plan 2 had us looking for longs. Battle Plan 1 had us looking for longs too… and that one could have been an add on for anyone already long.

  • The Battle Plan note: Battle Plan 1 said continuation long. A great place to add.
  • Holding a lotto runner long? This is the add on.
  • Where were you? Up 40 points by then. Can you add on at an ideal trade location? Of course you can. Plenty of room.

We add to winning trades in our group. We have a lot of runners in our group.

Trader Lesson 3

We add to winning trades… only when we are winning. Up 40 points on a lotto runner long, the ideal trade location is your place to add.

Areas Of Interest And Perfect Chess

Bulls control. Shorts are counter. Small, if at all.

Long from the aggressive long or Battle Plan 2 and holding a lotto runner? A really easy move to hold on to. Super simple.

About noon I posted 7810 to 7820 in the group. Where are my eyeballs? If you're long, 7820 is probably a great place price might tap out. It's also a great place you might be interested in entertaining a short.

I did not map out any official Battle Plan short. In the Battle Plan for Wednesday I specifically said I did not map out a short… but if price got anywhere close to the expected range and failed, I would be interested in a turnaround short.

Members who don't actually read the Battle Plan missed that note. It lives in the actual Battle Plan, outside the level notes. You have to read the Battle Plan to get it.

Trader Lesson 4

Read the full Battle Plan. The turnaround short note lived only in the actual Battle Plan… and there's an audio that reads the entire thing to you.

7810 is basically where we tapped out. Being in this short is every trader's dream. I didn't really see a way you could have been short other than playing perfect chess.

  • The top was a Strong Range: You could have gone short anywhere in there, put your stop above the Strong Range and played positional chess.
  • Up 150 points for the week? Then maybe you take a positional short and put a 20 point stop on it. Well, you had an amazing night.

That doesn't mean you need to be short. It doesn't mean you should even be entertaining a short. This is just an area of interest.

Trader Lesson 5

An area of interest is just an area of interest. The point: were we looking for the right trades in the right trade locations?

Today: Can The Bull Bear Line Hold Again?

Those drivers today. It's Thursday, so unemployment claims. Earnings landed last night too.

DateEventSignificance
Thursday, Oct 22Unemployment ClaimsOut a half hour after the briefing.
Wednesday night, Oct 21Tesla, Meta, IBM earningsLast night's earnings, rounding out the week.

We had a 100 point pullback overnight. Five times the size of the normal overnight range.

The Battle Plan 1 note asks it straight: can the Bull Bear Line hold again? If you're new to our group, read the notes. Better yet, go read the full Battle Plan. I even have an audio that reads the entire thing to you now.

  • The odds: I give it lower odds of working out.
  • The risk to ignoring it: After a pullback like this, we could reclaim the Bull Bear Line and go make all time highs today. Take heed of that.
  • My plan: I don't think this is a good low. I think we need to go further down. I will not be trading this. I'll be waiting to trade it live.

Trader Lesson 6

A level I give lower odds still gets mapped. The loss and the reclaim of the Bull Bear Line must be taken into consideration, even if you choose to skip this trade.

"You can make 10 points a day, you're doing good."

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS

Should you take another ES futures trade when you are already up on the day?

A: Only if your cushion protects what you banked. On Wednesday I was up 10 points and passed the aggressive long because I didn't want to give any of them back. Up 15 points, I would have taken it, because I could still preserve my 10. You can make 10 points a day, you're doing good.

How do you manage a runner in ES micro futures?

A: Follow the Three Contract System and stay in with the runner. On Wednesday the aggressive long got you in to the tick with zero heat, so there was no need to run to the door for your profit. Traders who held the runner had a 50 point move in their hands.

What is a lotto runner in futures trading?

A: A lotto runner is the runner you keep on for the extended move. On Wednesday, holding a lotto runner from the aggressive long was a really easy move, super simple, and the Battle Plan 1 continuation long gave it a place to add.

Why should you read the full ES futures trade plan before the open?

A: Some of the most important notes live only in the full Battle Plan. On Wednesday the turnaround short idea near the expected range was written in the actual Battle Plan, outside the level notes. There is an audio version that reads the entire Battle Plan to you.

What is an area of interest in an ES futures trade plan?

A: An area of interest is a zone where you watch for price to possibly turn. It doesn't mean you need to take a trade there or even entertain one. On Wednesday 7810 to 7820 was the area of interest, and 7810 is basically where ES tapped out. The point is looking for the right trades in the right trade locations.

What is a Strong Range in ES futures?

A: A Strong Range is one of the zones mapped on the Micros Trader Battle Plan. On Wednesday the top of the move was one of our Strong Ranges, and a trader playing positional chess could have gone short anywhere in there with a stop above the Strong Range.

What is the Bull Bear Line in ES futures?

A: The Bull Bear Line is the key dividing level between bullish and bearish bias on the Micros Trader Battle Plan. Today Battle Plan 1 asks if it can hold again after a 100 point overnight pullback, five times the size of the normal overnight range. A reclaim of the Bull Bear Line could go make all time highs.

Should you trade a level you give lower odds of working out?

A: You can skip it, and you still have to map it. Today I give Battle Plan 1 lower odds and I will not be trading it, because I don't think this is a good low. The loss and the reclaim of the Bull Bear Line must be taken into consideration, even if you choose to skip this trade.

How do you add to winners in ES futures?

A: Add to winning trades only when you are winning, at an ideal trade location. On Wednesday a trader holding a lotto runner long was up 40 points when the Battle Plan 1 continuation long came in. That was the add, with plenty of room.
