MES MICROS TRADE PLAN

We Always Add To Winning Trades… We Never Add To Losers

Posted: Tuesday November 03, 2026

☀️ AM BRIEFING

Yesterday paid both ways. Battle Plan 2 had us long off the bottom of the range, the aggressive short came in at the top near the overnight high, and Battle Plan 3 gave shorts a legit place to add. That is today's lesson in this ES futures morning briefing… how to add to a winning trade. Always add to winners. Never add to losers. And with congressional elections today and AMD after the close, this MES micro futures trade plan says one more thing loud and clear… hold a lotto runner this week.

Yesterday's Long: Three Reads Said Buy

Battle Plan 2 had us looking for a long, looking for price to get up to its target. Early on, price got up 8 points or so, came back in, and the follow through wasn't there. No big deal. RTH opens and we reset.

Then three reads lined up at the same spot:

  1. Battle Plan 2: Long, looking for price to come up to the target.
  2. The range rule: Price sat at the bottom of the range, which George discussed in the AM Briefing. Range rule says look for longs.
  3. Live commentary: Longs only here. Don't short this.

Entry was not easy. It just wasn't easy. Multiple traders took all of that into consideration and got long. George encouraged them to peel contracts right before the next strong range and hold a single lotto runner for the full target. Price got all the way up there. If you want to, take all your contracts off. Thank you, Mr. Market… I'll see you later.

Trader Lesson 1

When the Battle Plan, the range rule and the live commentary all say long… you look for longs only. Don't short this.

George encouraged traders who took that long to call it the day. You're done. 24 points. Alex exited right there and took his day. Congratulations… nice trade.

Trader Lesson 2

Got your points? Call it the day and walk. You don't need another trade.

The Aggressive Short At The Top Of The Range

For the aggressive, the plan was a short at the top of the range. There was an overnight high there. Take the short. Put your lotto runner on. If you did the 3-Contract System, it turned out to be an amazing trade. Held through the close? You had a 100 pointer on your hands.

Did we know this was going to be the big turnaround? No. Did we know there was going to be a pullback? Absolutely. If the bulls were going to push through, they'd probably tap that level a couple times before they could finally break. Instead… it reversed.

Look at how the Battle Plan framed the whole day:

  • Battle Plan 2: Made it up to its long target.
  • Battle Plan 3: Made it down to its short target.
  • Bull Bear Line: The middle. Longs above. Shorts below.
The Bull Bear Line was the middle… longs above, shorts below. Battle Plan 2 and Battle Plan 3 both worked out really well.

Always Add To Winners… Never Add To Losers

In the Discord group, George wrote that Battle Plan 3 might get another shot in the overnight session. If you were short from the top, that was an ideal place to add. We always add to winning trades. We never add to losers.

Then price lost the Bull Bear Line… with a vengeance. There's the backtest. That was Battle Plan 3 last night. You are still short. You are on the right side of price action. Add to your winning trade again down at Battle Plan 3.

Here's how George lays out the add:

  1. Initial entry: George doesn't necessarily recommend you pile up on the initial entry.
  2. The move: Price moves your direction.
  3. The add: You get another legit entry, like Battle Plan 3 yesterday. That's a legit place to add to your trade.
  4. The result: It costs you nothing. You at least have a nice breakeven somewhere in the middle.

Trader Lesson 3

Always add to winning trades and never add to losers. When price moves your direction and hands you another legit entry, that is your place to add. Adding to your winning trade is the way to add leverage to your trading.

Rather bank it? On Zoom, George called Battle Plan 3 a beautiful place to consider exiting a short and saying thank you, Mr. Market.

Hold The Lotto Runner This Week

Congressional elections today. AMD after the close. AMD was down some 6% yesterday on volatility. Big week.

This is a week that if you can hold a lotto runner… hold it. If you took the short yesterday, from Zoom or from the Battle Plan, you could still be short. Who knows what type of monster move is in store? We don't know which one is going to be the big trade. As George said in the wrap up video… hold that lotto runner. We don't know which way this thing's gonna break.

Trader Lesson 4

Big week? If you can hold a lotto runner, hold it. You don't know which move is the big trade… you simply hold a runner just in case.

The Daily Trend Line And Where We Are Now

George pulled up a daily trend line. Price lost it and backtested it multiple times. Then price came right back to it. Touched it. Tested it. Big bounce. Fantastic bounce.

We might get another test before it continues. That's why it's important to have that level on your chart, in George's opinion.

  • Bull Bear Line: Back on the chart.
  • Battle Plan 3: Still happens to be a short.
  • Today: Looks like it might be down, down, down.

Trader Lesson 5

Keep the daily trend line on your chart. Price can test it, bounce big, and come back for another test before it continues.

George can't wait to trade this live with you. Tuesdays the live stream is free… come join us.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS

Why should you hold a lotto runner in ES futures during a big news week?

A: You don't know which move is going to be the big trade. With congressional elections and AMD after the close this week, George says if you can hold a lotto runner, hold it. Who knows what type of monster move is in store… you simply hold a runner just in case.

Should you add to a losing ES futures trade?

A: No. The Micros Trader rule is simple… always add to winning trades, never add to losers. You add only after price moves your direction and hands you another legit entry, like Battle Plan 3 did on yesterday's short from the top of the range.

When should you add contracts to a winning MES micro futures trade?

A: Add when the trade is already moving your direction and price gives you another legit entry. George doesn't necessarily recommend piling up on the initial entry. On yesterday's short, Battle Plan 3 was that second legit entry, and adding there left you with a nice breakeven somewhere in the middle.

How do you know when to stop trading for the day in ES futures?

A: When you have your points, call it the day. George encouraged traders who took yesterday's long to stop right there with 24 points. Say thank you, Mr. Market, and walk for the day… you don't need another trade.

Should you short ES futures at the bottom of the range?

A: Yesterday the answer was no. Price sat at the bottom of the range, the range rule said look for longs, Battle Plan 2 said long, and the live commentary said longs only here… don't short this. Multiple traders got long and caught the move.

What is a lotto runner in futures trading?

A: A lotto runner is the single contract you keep after peeling the rest of your position, held for a bigger extended move. Yesterday George encouraged traders to peel contracts right before the next strong range and hold a single lotto runner for the full target.

What is the 3-Contract System for ES futures?

A: The 3-Contract System is the Micros Trader core position sizing framework. You peel contracts along the way and keep a runner for the bigger move. On yesterday's aggressive short from the top of the range, George said the 3-Contract System turned out to be an amazing trade, and holding through the close put a 100 pointer on your hands.

What is the Bull Bear Line in ES futures?

A: The Bull Bear Line is the key dividing level between bullish and bearish bias on the Battle Plan. Yesterday it sat in the middle… longs above, shorts below. Battle Plan 2 made its long target above it and Battle Plan 3 made its short target below it. Price then lost the Bull Bear Line with a vengeance and backtested it at Battle Plan 3.

Why keep a daily trend line on your ES futures chart?

A: Price keeps testing it. Price lost the daily trend line and backtested it multiple times, then came back, touched it, tested it and got a big bounce. It might get another test before it continues, so George says it's important to have that level on your chart.
