How to Review Losing Trades and Actually Learn From Them

Every loss is game film… and George shows you exactly how to run the tape back.

From the free MicrosTrader Trading Library… 140 lessons mined from 1,042 live ES and MES futures sessions taught since 2018.

Reviewing a losing trade means turning the loss into information. You screenshot the trade the moment it stops out, upload it to your journal, and ask one question… what is this loss telling you? Were you trading outside your hours? Outside your system? Should you have been in at all? Every stop hands you a data point about your process. The trader who reviews it grows. The trader who buries it repeats it.

This page gathers everything George teaches about reviewing losing trades across hundreds of hours of live ES E-mini futures and MES micro futures sessions… why a loss is game film, the exact steps to take in the fifteen minutes after it happens, and how to mine your own trade history for the patterns that quietly cost you money.

“"Stops provide information. What is it telling you? That's what we're going to talk about today. Should I be trading? That's always a question to ask. Were you trading outside of your system? Should you have been trading at all?"”

A Loss Is Information, Not a Verdict

Start here, because it changes everything downstream. A stop-loss is feedback. Taking the loss gives you something the winning trade never will… a clear look at where your read, your timing, or your discipline broke down. Ask the question every time. Were you on the wrong side of price action? Were you trading your plan or trading your feelings?

George reframes the whole idea of a bad day. The trades that hurt are the ones that teach. That painful stop drilled risk management into you. That failed FOMO entry sharpened your patience for the next setup. Reviewed honestly, your ugliest sessions do more for your account than your smoothest ones.

“"Stops provide you information. What is it telling you? Are you on the wrong side of price action?"”
