Welcome ES MES Futures Traders

Good morning, everybody! Welcome to the AM briefing for Tuesday, October 22nd.

Daily Quote

Today's quote: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song, I praise Him." I love that.

Now, let's get into it!

AM Briefing Introduction

Welcome to the AM briefing brought to you by MicrosTrader.com, where together we trade better, and there's always another high-probability trade around the corner. This is episode number 287, and we are live in the ES MES Futures Trading room.

Tip of the Day

Just wait! There’s always another high-probability trade around the corner. Yesterday, I had told the group, after 30 minutes of trading, that I didn't think I'd get a trade. But then the market turned. I went short, made a 20-pointer, followed by a 10-pointer on a long. I was aiming for a third 10-pointer but didn’t quite get there. Still, it was a good day with two solid trades.

If you don’t like the personality of the price action, just wait an hour or come back later in the afternoon. It's like dating—if it doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to say, “No thanks.” Just wait, and the market will show you another opportunity.

YouTube and Zoom Information

We will be live today on YouTube 30 minutes before the market opens. If you want to join, we’ll do a recap and trade live until we’re done, typically around 11:00 a.m. Eastern. If I’m in a trade, I might extend the session.

Of course, if you want a more immersive experience, you can purchase a Zoom pass. With a Zoom pass, you get a closer look, similar to being in the cockpit of an airplane. Interested? Check it out!

Today's Schedule

  • One hour before the market opens: Mental training session.
  • 10 minutes before the market opens: Market reminder.
  • Trading until 11:00 a.m. Eastern (or later if nursing a trade).

News Drivers

Not much today—just some orange folder events. The bigger event is tomorrow: FOMC minutes. I won’t be here tomorrow afternoon due to an appointment, but it will be interesting to watch.

Yesterday's Review

Yesterday was a great day! I shared levels of 81 and 68, outlining potential setups. We got a 20-point short, and the group traded well. Shoutout to Caleb, who’s still nursing a short trade from last night, showing great patience.

ES Chart Overview

Overnight, we’ve seen the sessions stack firmly in this move. We’ll need to draw a new trendline. The previous parabolic trendline is defunct now. I would recommend watching levels like 40.75 and 5800 for today’s trading, as they’ve performed well in the overnight session.

Key Trading Insights

There’s always another high-probability trade around the corner, so be patient. Look for areas where price might turn and follow our system.

Scenarios for Today

  • The market might ladder back up and aim for all-time highs. The Bulls are in control, but I’ll be looking for more evidence, like closing under a daily low.
  • There’s still a potential for the Bears to push down, especially if the 68 level is breached.

Bull Bear Scorecard

  • Trend line: Bears.
  • Session stacking: Bears.
  • VWAP: Bears.
  • Overnight halfback: Bears.
  • Range: Bulls.
  • Indices: Mixed.
  • Bull-bear line: Bulls at 68.
  • Liquidation risk: Bears still hold an edge, but it’s theirs to lose.

Conclusion

Join us live at 8:00 a.m. for a high-probability ES Futures Trading session. A new free course on futures trading is also coming soon!

Stay green, my friends!
