For Our Emini and Micros Futures Trading Room
Futures traders are keeping a close eye on market movements today, with the FOMC meeting and major tech earnings from Tesla, Meta, and Microsoft driving sentiment. Yesterday’s live-streamed session followed the projected trade setup precisely, reinforcing the value of a structured approach. A key takeaway from the session was the importance of holding onto a "runner" contract for larger profits, as one trader missed an extended 78-point move by exiting too early. As the market holds above Sunday’s high, all eyes remain on whether bulls can maintain control heading into a pivotal trading session. RESOURCES:

Welcome ES MES Futures Traders
Welcome to the AM briefing video presented by MicrosTrader.com, where together we trade better.
Scripture of the Day
"Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and sin that easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us."
— Hebrews 12:1
This verse serves as an encouragement to be unwavering in your trading journey and approach life with perseverance.
✅ Tip of the Day: Keep a Runner Back
One of our members, on just his second day in the group, executed a well-managed trade. He captured 25 points on one contract, 25 points on another, and 50 points on the third contract. Today, we will review that trade and discuss the importance of keeping a runner back.
✅ News Drivers
- FOMC meeting
- Tesla, Meta, and Microsoft earnings (after market close)
The morning session is tradable (green circle), while the afternoon is riskier (red circle). We will be live both sessions, but remember: being live doesn't mean you have to take every trade. Stick to your trade plan.
✅ Yesterday’s Trade Review
Yesterday, we live-streamed our session. Initially, I wasn’t planning to do a review, but the trade setup was so textbook that I felt it was important to discuss.
Before the market opened, I laid out my ideal scenario, and the market followed it perfectly. A new member executed a three-contract trade and performed exceptionally well:
- 25 points on the first contract
- 25 points on the second contract
- 50 points on the third contract
However, the lesson of the day was keeping a runner back. He was shaken out of two contracts early, missing potential profits. When you're in profit, it’s natural to feel nervous and want to exit. But the market rewarded patience: had he held onto the final contract longer, the move went 78 points beyond his entry, almost 4x his risk.
This is why we emphasize the three-contract system, which is covered in the Core Strategy Academy. If you haven't reviewed that material yet, I highly recommend doing so.
✅ ES Chart – Where Are We Now?
- We took out Sunday's High overnight.
- The Asia session hit our RTH High.
- FOMC day means cautious trading—stick to your trade plan.
- Bulls are still in control. They have the advantage until proven otherwise.
✅ Indices Overview
- NQ (Nasdaq) is following ES (S&P 500).
- Dow and Russell are relatively flat.
- The key takeaway: Are all indices moving in the same direction? This alignment helps confirm trade decisions.
If we continue to hold above Sunday's High, the next logical target would be all-time highs—though everything hinges on the FOMC announcement.
Final Thoughts
Today is an FOMC day, so expect volatility. Stick to your plan, trade smart, and remember: the Bulls are in control unless proven otherwise.

SUMMARY:
- ✅ Tip of the Day – Keep a Runner Back: One of our members executed a strong trade but could have maximized profits by holding onto a runner longer. The key lesson: patience in trading pays off.
- ✅ News Drivers – FOMC & Big Earnings: Major market-moving events today include the FOMC meeting and Tesla, Meta, and Microsoft earnings. The morning session is safer to trade, while the afternoon requires caution.
- ✅ Trade Review – Lessons from Yesterday: Yesterday’s trade followed our pre-market plan precisely. A member took three contracts and exited too soon on two. Holding onto a final runner would have yielded even bigger profits.
- ✅ ES Chart Analysis – Bulls in Control: The market took out Sunday’s High, and bulls remain in control unless proven otherwise. Today’s direction hinges on the FOMC announcement.
- ✅ Indices Alignment – Are We Moving Together? All indices should align for a stronger trend. Currently, Nasdaq follows ES, while Dow and Russell are flat. Watching alignment helps confirm trade setups.
