Welcome ES MES Futures Traders

Welcome to the AM Briefing video, presented by MicrosTrader.com, where together we trade better.

Good morning, everybody! Welcome to the final week of the quarter and the month. Let's dive in.

Weekly Scripture

1 Samuel 2:3

"Do not boast so proudly or let arrogant words come out of your mouth, for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and actions are weighed by Him."

A powerful scripture to reflect on as we head into this week.

Tip of the Day: Beware of Counter Trading

Do we need a group called Counter Traders Anonymous?

Do you—or someone you know—struggle with counter trading? If so, this might be a tough week for them. My tip today: be cautious shorting a short covering rally.

If you find yourself staring at the chart, feeling the urge to short every green candle, have an honest talk with yourself. Under what conditions can you short a rally? Are there any?

We talk about this often in our group:

  • When can you short a short-covering rally?
  • When is it okay to short a move upward?

You need to know your procedures. Know your rules. Should you even be counter trading?

Who’s in control? I’m not saying the bulls fully control the market yet, but they’re getting close.

News Drivers

Today is a green trading day—15 minutes after the market opens, we’ll see some PMI data released.

I’ll likely go live on YouTube tomorrow, definitely Friday, and a couple of other times this week. Earnings today appear light, nothing major that stands out.

Weekly Reminders

  • We’ll continue our AM Briefing each morning.
  • Members will join us for mental training daily before the market opens.
  • We’ll map out our trades and key levels in advance.

Typically, I highlight a single trade setup we’re focusing on for the day. For reference:

  • Last week's results: 211 wins, 4 losses
  • Previous week: 140 wins, 1 loss

ES Chart – Where Are We Now?

Let’s revisit the chart quickly.

We previously established a primary trend line, followed by a parabolic move which created a second trend line. Recently, we saw the price drop below the parabolic trend line.

Now, it looks like we may be breaking out of a range. We've seen this pattern before—rally to a new high, then slam back into the range. Is this time different?

From Friday’s low, we’ve rallied about 130 points. Does this look like a move to counter trade?
Not yet.

We’re in a new week, showing strength and possibly breaking out of the previous range.

Trend Watch

Have we gone parabolic again?

I've drawn a new line to help us visualize it. We're skating right through and still above that trend line. In fact, we’re making new highs as we speak during this AM Briefing.

Indices Outlook

All indices are up.
"Up, Up, and Away, Mr. Gadget!"

Be very careful fading this market. If you need someone to yell at you and keep you disciplined—join us on Zoom and I’ll gladly help.

See you live 30 minutes before the market opens for our mental training session.

Stay Green, my friends.
